Peanut Butter & Jelly

Email this page.

The following is an email with photos we recevied from Cindy Badon. She used Stain Solver to save her office chair.

"I had just recovered this damaged cushion on my office chair with some colorful upholstery fabric to brighten my office.  Too bad it wasn't in the grape jelly color family.

My younger child somehow managed to sneak away from the table with part of his peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich. [He] ate the peanut butter side, and placed the remaining jelly part directly on the chair ... face down, of course!  I didn't see it until later, so it had dried somewhat.

I quick grabbed the Stain Solver, mixed some up and put it in a spray bottle.  I scraped off what I could, being careful not to spread it any further.  Then I doused the area, allowed it to sit for a few minutes, and dabbed it with a clean, white paper towel.

I could have left it like that as it was barely noticeable, but I treated a second time, dabbed again and let it dry.  (I didn't rub for fear of making one area look more worn and noticeable since it was new fabric.) It looks completely unharmed.

I would say that I was surprised, but since Stain Solver saved one of my white dresses that went through Hurricane Katrina (I wish I had a before and after photo of that!) nothing that it does surprises me anymore.  My kids are lucky that we have Stain Solver! They would be in a lot more trouble if we didn't!  The 2nd picture is after the chair dried about 45 minutes later."
